Transportation: Choose a Complete Arrival Plan

Compare driving, a drop-off, rideshare, or other travel options only after the venue and event routes are confirmed.

Plan the last part of the journey

For any travel option, ask where it leaves you and how you reach the entrance from there. A nearby road is not necessarily a safe drop-off point. If using a transit service, confirm current route, stop, operating hours, and the return journey with the provider. No shuttle or transit connection is implied by this guide.

If walking or cycling, check the actual route and where bicycles may be secured. Do not assume pedestrian access follows the same route as vehicle parking.

Arrange the return before arrival

Agree on a pickup location, a time window, and a backup communication method. Keep enough battery for directions and messages. If traveling with several people, make sure everyone knows who is responsible for arranging the return.

Check accessibility and parking guidance for your needs, then revisit event updates near the date. Future rideshare zones, shuttle schedules, and road arrangements require organizer confirmation.

Match the option to the whole group

Consider who needs a seat, help with walking, space for equipment, or a predictable departure time. A travel option that works for one person may not work for everyone. Confirm the provider’s actual capacity and arrangements before dividing the group. Keep a shared plan for what to do if an expected ride is unavailable at the end of the event.
