Business Exhibitors: Turn a Conversation Into a Useful Connection
Explore services with clear questions and leave with information you can review after the festival.
Understand the offer
Ask what the business does, whom it serves, and whether it operates in your area. Request a written explanation for a price, promotion, or service package you are considering. A brief festival conversation is a starting point for evaluating a service, not a substitute for understanding its scope.
If a demonstration interests you, ask what is included in the actual product. Note the company name and public website so you can distinguish the exhibitor from a similarly named business later.
Choose your follow-up
Tell the exhibitor how you prefer to be contacted and ask what a signup form will be used for. You can take information home before deciding whether to arrange a consultation or purchase. Do not share more personal information than a simple inquiry requires.
For exhibitors, a clear description, accessible display, and simple next step make conversations easier. Participation requirements and approval belong to the vendor application process; a booth inquiry alone does not secure a place.
Compare like with like
When comparing two services, compare the actual scope, not only the price. Ask whether installation, training, maintenance, travel, or support is included. Keep notes about the problem you want solved and the provider’s proposed next step. A consultation may help clarify the need before you choose a package. Take time to review the terms in a quieter setting after the event.
